The website creation process.

Consult -

To start with, we chat with you about your business, your business history, your client base, your goals and desired outcomes for your business and any ideas you may have. Then, we work with you to establish the objectives of your website and recommend ideas to ensure that we achieve these goals. This can be via email, or on the telephone. It's up to you.

Then we talk budget! Sometimes, what you want in the beginning, grows as we work together and you learn all about the cool things we can do on your new site. We lay it all out so that you are clear from the start, exactly what you will be getting. Any changes to your design brief will price adjusted and approved by you before we change anything!

When we have done all the consulting with you, we'll send you a design brief in a language you'll understand.  You then look over the brief, review the details and the quote. We wont even charge you to ask us questions or change your mind about things!

Design -

Next comes the basic look of your websites pages, initial layouts, how they link together and which functions and cool gadgets you want to add. You will be involved at every step of this development phase, because only you can know the 'look and feel' of the site that you want us to create for you. We'll need your input so that we can truly reflect your brand identity and requirements. We'll get you to send us your desired content (what you want to convey to your clients), advertising materials, logos and images for your business.

When we feel satisfied that we have met your design criteria, we will present you with a design brief. This will be a very basic layout and some colour combinations, icons and ideas. You will then review these, and change or add things, while we adjust the price accordingly. When you have approved and signed off on our design brief, we will move on to the fun stuff! Actually building your site!

Develop -

Once all the concepts are good to go, we'll use them as the basis for construction of your website. During this construction phase, we'll be combining your content with the layout we have designed. This is where your approved design is transformed into a fully working prototype website.

Depending on the type of site we are building you, if it's required, we'll integrate the content management system (CMS) to meet your specific needs, shopping cart, custom development, dynamic scripting and we'll also start the content population. ( Importing your website text, images and multimedia to fill your site.) We'll be using all the latest and greatest web techniques and will ensure that all the standard features of a Vivify Interweb Solutions website are included.

We do regular testing throughout the development phase, to make sure that the site performs at best across all the major browsers. Sites are tested on the following. For PC: IE8, Firefox and Chrome. For Mac: Safari and Firefox.

When we've made some visible progress, we'll set you up with a test website area, so you can login every now and then to check your websites development progress. Keep in mind though, that sometimes it looks like nothing much is happening and then "BAM" all of a sudden lots of cool things are on your website! Remember the duck analogy..... calm and serene on the surface..... underneath the water, paddling like crazy! That's what we do!
